UofT wireless LAN
Beginning in 2012, the University of Toronto began deploying new wireless access points that support 802.11n (“wireless-N”) speeds. Look for the “UofT” wireless network to connect your wireless laptop or other wireless devices. Authentication is done using your UTORid and password; before trying to connect, you must verify your UTORid (even if it works for other services) by pointing a network browser (on a computer connected to the wired network) to https://www.utorid.utoronto.ca/cgi-bin/utorid/verify.pl
For detailed instructions on getting set up, go to the UofT Campus Wireless page.
Wireless users running a Linux operating system may need this file to enable access to “UofT” WLAN: AddTrustExternalCARoot
Note that the University prohibits “rogue” wireless networks because they can interfere with the official wireless network supported by the university's central computing and network staff.
