UofT Microsoft 365 for Education
As of 2022, UofT has an extensive licensing agreement with Microsoft, for a variety of services:
- All current UofT students and staff get use of:
- Outlook Online webmail at https://webmail.utoronto.ca logging in with your UTORid and password
- Office 365 Online app suite, via the 'waffle' menu in Outlook Online
- Word
- Excel
- PowerPoint
- OneNote
- Class Notebook
- Teams
- To Do
- 1TB of online file storage on Microsoft OneDrive
- All current UofT faculty and staff (not students) get use of Microsoft 365 application suite:
- Microsoft 365 Office suite: Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access, OneNote, Teams (downloadable full apps for Windows or MacOS)
- SharePoint (web edition)
- Forms (web edition)
- Visio (web edition)
- Project (web edition)
- Power BI (web edition)
- Staff Notebook (web edition)
- Microsoft is the back-end provider for UofT email services, including anti-spam and anti-phishing protections
- username@utoronto.ca addresses for faculty and staff
- username@mail.utoronto.ca for current students
- username@alumni.utoronto.ca for past students
- Access via webmail or via IMAP in mail client apps
In summer 2022 the University revised the details of the Microsoft Campus Agreement, affecting what variants and versions of Office are provided to whom.

There are also options to purchase individual licenses for Microsoft software through uSource /Licensed Software Office
Office Online
Each UofT email account is registered as a user in the Office Online portal for UofT. The portal should recognize the user's status (student / staff / faculty) and may adjust accordingly what exact product selection is offered.
