+As of 2013 all ECE offices and labs are served by the University's centrally-managed "UofT" wireless 802.11n network. All UofT faculty, staff, graduate and undergraduate students, and official visitors with TCards may use their UTORid and password to connect.  This wireless network was designed for transient short-term connections, and not as a replacement for full-time wired access for desktop computers.

+Prior to the completion of the "UofT" 802.11n WLAN, ECE had operated our own WLAN with network ID "Colubris" and "ECE Secure." This system has been retired and is no longer available. Use the "UofT" WLAN instead.

+University of Toronto policies call for only official university-managed WLANs to operate on campus. Individual users are not to install or operate their own wireless access points.
