Lumerical publishes a line of photonics modelling and simulation software. In April 2020 Lumerical was acquired by Ansys in the U.S.A.

All members of ECE's photonics group share use of our network concurrent license. The license is hosted on our server mlm.ece.utoronto.ca. Use outside of the ECE wired network requires connecting via the ECE VPN. The license authorizes use in Canada only. Users connecting from outside of Canada should not run Lumerical using this shared license.

Users can download the installers from the Ansys website: Windows Link Linux Link (Note that MacOS support has been discontinued.) Users must create a login on the Ansys website here and agree to the license terms to receive download access. Your login also gives access to their user forums and support information.
